Q.

hi all.my baby is 14months but dnt say small like ma,papa,dada.... she wnt respond to bye...I mean she wnt wave her hand... but she plays lot n active. am worried abt it..

A. for proper fluent speech you need to wait till 3 years of age of the chyeild to speak in complete sentences clearly and fluently if its not so then consult doctor to know if speech therapy is required.till that time keep interacting as much as possible in your spoken language and involve the child in language learning activities using audiovisual aids too. dont worry if other milestones are normal this will also be achieved in time at times it may get delayed..there are variations in children by age for this. . .

A. See A lot of kids don’t speak at this age too much it’s normal and it is not necessary that your child is going to be bye-bye all the time when you are doing it so that’s normal you just see for some other things also is your child responding well to its name making an eye contact following small small instructions that you are giving if your child is doing all these things and everything is in place adjust the speech is a little behind which will happen with passing if anything what I am saying is present then consult a psychologist ones
