Q.

Hi all , how many hrs gap should be there between formula feeds ? Like if the baby is taking 60 ml , 90 ml and 120 ml what should be the duration between the feeds ?

A. at this stage you should feed the baby at the intervals of 2 hours. so irrespective of the quantity you should feed the baby at the interval of 2 hours. ideally the quantity of formula milk depends on baby's weight. baby should be given 150-200ml of formula feed for every kg of baby weight. for example if baby is 3 kgs then give 450-600 ml in 24 hrs. that is the thumb rule.dividethis through the day. But since all babies are different then the quantity may vary a bit also.  Please refer to the instructions on the box also once where the quantity will be given as per baby's weight or age. One note about formula feeding: It's easier to overfeed when using formula because it takes less effort to drink from a bottle than from a breast.so please make sure you keep an on the quantity.
