Hi all does Allegra suspension 100 ml syrup will work for cold and cough??? My baby is 18 months old

A. It is anti allergic, but I suggest you avoid self medication in case of child.

A. Common cold is a viral infection of nose and throat. Nasal Congestion and runny nose are the main indicators of a cold. Keep feeding your baby well, give indirect steam or use humidifier, put saline nasal drops. You can prevent it by keeping your baby away from the person who is suck, wash your hands before handling the baby, clean baby's toys and pacifier often

A. Hi! Allegra suspension contain fexofenadine drug which is 2nd generation antihistaminic. It is usually not recommended for children under 12 years of age. So use saline nasal drops for cold. Also can use decongestant drops like maxtra for few days. Apply baby vicks for symptomatic relief. thanks.

A. Hello and good evening you may give the baby indirect steam and apply warm mustard oil with A Pinch of salt and turmeric and garlic and leave it overnight and cover it properly and give the baby Tulsi leaves with honey paste and lukewarm water but for medication please visit your doctor
