Q.

Hey, My 20 days old new born apply too much force while passing urine and pooping…but he poops normally and also i give him stomach pain medicine every alternate day…his stomach is all okay hut i am worried why he apply too much force and turns his face to all red….

A. straining while passing urine and stool is very normal before completion of 6 months of age. sometimes this can continue for one year of age also. it usually occurs due to the distention of the urinary bladder and rectum of the child. the sensation is new for thxe child that's why the child is crying if you feel that the crying is more than normal you should visit a pediatrician for examination
