Q.

Hey doctor, I had normal(episiotomy) delivery before 3 months ,now I want to concentrate on my body weight, so when and which type of exercise should I start? and what changes should I make in my diet?

A. Dear mum, begin with mild exercises like brisk walk, yoga. Eat mindfully and avoid high calorie foods, processed and packaged foods. Have a balanced diet having variety of food groups especially seasonal fruits and vegetables. Have lean proteins like eggs, beans, pulses, low fat milk and milk products. Have healthy fats from almonds, flaxseed. Have small frequent meals and adequate fluid intake.
