Q.

hepatitis vaccine has not been given by doctor within 24 hours of birth. is it ok or I should ask doctor to give her now. #Vaccination

A. it can be guven now .Vaccination is important for prevention from diseases so it should be given and not be delayed much . Some of delay is ok but vaccination chart should be followed and all vaccines are important that are in the chart .

A. Yes, you are right. The first dose of Hepatitis B vaccine should be given as soon as possible after birth and especially within 24 hours. Please consult with your doctor as to why it has been delayed and ask if the baby can still be given the first dose.
