A. It's not uncommon for a two-month-old baby to have irregular sleep patterns. At this age, babies typically sleep between 12 to 16 hours a day, but they may not always sleep in long stretches. It's normal for them to wake up frequently to feed or for other reasons, like discomfort or needing a diaper change. Your daughter sleeping just three to four hours in a day could be fine if she's otherwise healthy, feeding well, and gaining weight. However, if she's consistently very fussy, difficult to settle, or showing signs of illness (like fever or a change in feeding habits), it would be a good idea to consult a pediatrician. To help with sleep, you can establish a calming bedtime routine, ensure the sleep environment is comfortable (not too hot or cold), and avoid overstimulation before naps or bedtime. It may take a few more months for her to develop a more consistent sleep schedule.
