Hello sir/madam my baby girl is 3 months old, from yesterday she was coughing a lot, first time I observed that her one leg is shivering 3-4 times a day for few seconds, even she cried a lot then usual, can you please help need to know the reason and solution, to help my child.π

DR SHIWAJIRAO PATILGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Hello, your baby girl is 3 months old and she is having a cough so much so give her 1 ml Ascoril Ls three times a day and shivering is very normal

Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough. if fever is there parachretamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .
