Hello Sir/Ma'am My daughter is 5 months 25 days old and from last 2-3 months she is passing mucus in her poop.. I thought under 6 months old baby pass poop like this but one of my friend told that I should consult a doctor for this... Kindly guide me on this issue... Is it normal passing mucus in poop or there is something to worry about...

ExpertDr. Mohammed imranPaediatrician4 years agoA. hello parent your kids 5 months old as long as the consistency of the stools is normal and the colour of the stools is yellow to greenish yellow it is normal in case of Persistent mucoid s tools need to evaluate for the cause it might be because of common cold or for in digestion

NikithaMom of a 11 yr 1 m old boy4 years agoA. hello f the child is having cold then it can be due to that or else it can be due to infection and it would be better to check with your doctor and your doctor will be able to guide you better on examination of the same and advise you accordingly which is better
