hello sir iam mother of 2 months and 1 week old baby ,my baby was born with rds and cured well after 10 days but recently he got cold cough and little distress we consulted our doctor but he said it is ok to distress little but while taking breastfeed we feel it is quite heavy but my baby is completely normal is it ok amd how long it will take to cure completely please reply..

Cough and Cold should be treated only after a proper examination by a doctor after diagnosis.it may be any infective or allergic.it is not so related to food items like banana etc.but seasonal changes may aggravate. if with fever too ,calpol can be given three times a day.give steam inhalation to relieve blocked nose and nasoclear drops can also be used multiple times. Cough Syrup or nebulization should be given according to the type of cough .self umedication is not advisable. if the cough is productive you can give ascoril-ls syrup for now only n continue in proper doses only after doctor's guidance.avoid refrigerated items and give only simple home-made preparations as required.child will gradually begin to eat as symptomvs resolve.

Hi Don’t worry about it things take their own time to settle down she’s your doctor is monitoring the child and assessed your child previously the doctor only can tell you as to how much time it is going to take as of now if you any doubt you should consult your doctor for that
