Q.

Hello my son who is 2 years 4 months recognises all alphabets nd speaks most but not in continuation, recognises fruits nd speaks many, recognises 1to 10 nd speaks only few but he doesn't understand colors I'm trying since many days he can't recognise same color objects though he speaks less but catching words these days. give a good eye contact to us please tell me the reason

A. Thanks for ur reply I'm absolutely fine with his delay in speech as I know he is learning nd all babies r different my problem is y he is not able to recognize same colors or am I thinking too much u don't know I'm trying to teach him by talking to him alot he is catching words quickly these days yet not recognising colors

A. Hello dear parent! Few babies have delay in their speech, it is normal. Communicate more with your child, keep telling stories and sing and play together. Encourage your child to express and respond to your questions. Be patient and persistent in your efforts. Give your child a well balanced healthy diet and keep hydrated all through the day.
