Hello...my son is 8.5 months old. since the last few days he is passing stool 4/5 times a day, his stool is fine but instead of doing at a a time he passes little by little at different times of the day. what could be the reason?

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy2 years agoA. it is possible that the child might be having constipation due to which the child is passing stool again and again
if the consistency of the stool is normal that is semi solid to solid there is no need to worry about the frequency of the stool.
the frequency can vary for 4 to 5 times per day and sometimes the child will not pass stool for few days also.
also do no worry about colour and smell of the stool when stool consistency is semisolid to solid.
you have to meet the dr only if it is totally watery stool or it is hard stool or the child is having pain while passing the stool.
