Q.
hello .. my son is 3 months old .. he is having cough after every feed !! seems to be reflex cough. His birth weight is 3.07kg and now(104 days)his weight is 5.1 kg ..Is it normal ? is the weight gain( as body is not matured)and the reflex cough is because of the power weight gain?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the doyjjse can bej repeated after 6 hours again if required .
