New born babies generally faces many skin problems especially in the first few months... is completely normal... most of the problems goes by themselves.... you don't have to apply anything special... you just have to maintain hygiene and cleaningness around the baby... and regularly wipes the baby's face and apply a thin layer of baby cream... if possible clean after every feed .... if you're still concerned then please consult the pediatrician
