Q.
Hello, My Don is 7 years old . For a few days he has cold, cough and nasal congestion and cough in chest. Today he has 101 degree fever Kindly suggest what should be done

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy1 Year agoA. kindly give paracetamol for fever and it is given according to the weight as well as according to the power of paracetamol medicine you are having. whether higher medicines (ibugesic / meftal-p)are required or not will be told by the doctor. keep the child in cool environment and avoid using woolen clothes when the child is having fever armpit temperature of hundred or more is considered as feverf do body sponge and give plenty of water to drink and easily digestible food.

Calpol you can give to the child as of now or any other paracetamol that you have available for cold and cough I would suggest you to give ginger juice and honey mixture to your child thrice in a day and also you can give wikoryl kids to your child thrice in a day for cold
