Q.

Hello My daughter’s upper teeth are infected and apart of the tooth broke before few days. We visited the dentist and he said we should clean them and do capping under the effect of full body anaesthesia. I am not sure if this is good for a 3 year old

A. Dear parent, when the teeth become infected, they have to be treated by root canal treatment and capping. If tge child cooperates in the dental chair and gets the treatment done under local anesthesia, then it is alright. Otherwise sedation or general anesthesia has to be given.
