A. It is perfectly normal for an 8-month-old to have teeth, and the development of 8 teeth by this age is a healthy sign. Now that your baby has teeth, you can introduce a wider variety of solid foods. Here are some options you can give her: Foods to Include: 1. Grains: Rice: You can give soft-cooked rice or mashed rice. Wheat: Soft wheat preparations like roti soaked in dal, wheat porridge, or suji (semolina) kheer. 2. Fruits: Mashed or pureed fruits like banana, apple (steamed), pear, and papaya. 3. Vegetables: Steamed and mashed vegetables like carrot, pumpkin, sweet potato, and peas. 4. Protein: Lentils (dal), well-cooked eggs (scrambled or boiled yolk), and soft paneer. 5. Dairy: Full-fat yogurt or cottage cheese. Texture and Portion: Ensure that the food is soft and easy to swallow. Avoid adding too much salt, sugar, or honey (honey should be avoided until after 1 year). Continue breastfeeding or formula feeding alongside solid foods for complete nutrition. Always monitor for any signs of allergies when introducing new foods.
