Hello, my daughter is 7months 3 weeks old, she is having cough from past 10 days.. cough sound is significant from her chest after having food and the sound persists for around 10 min. there is no wheezing. what treatment should be given? please advice

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. any cough most of the time either it could be allergic or infective which needs proper evaluation. initially you can start by giving steam inhalation to your baby which will help in relieving symptoms to some extent and will make the baby comfortable.for small baby should be given indirectly from a distance.cough suppressants are usually avoided in children,it needs to be examined first before giving any ki-ond of medicine. so it will be better if you consult your doctor for proper guidance along with proper dosage for the kind of problem.
