Q.

hello ! my baby was suffering from diarrhoea with blood since last 4 days. Initially she was pooping around 7-8 times with mucus and blood. I got her checked by paed and he gave meds accordingly. Now my question is she has done potty only once since yesterday but the potty still has very little blood which is hardly visible and no mucus at all. Overall normal potty with little blood. I want to know does this mean it's healing or shall I contact doc again?

A. hello! Dr gave medication for 5 days and said that blood and mucus in poop was due to some bacterial infection which is common in babies. It took around a week to recover. Don't worry just follow your docs advice. Thank you
