Hello my baby is 9 months oldz she has constipation,she passes stool 2times a day but it's very hard like stone,my pediatrician adviced duphalac syrup 5 ml once a day? is it safe? n how many days should I give her?

Dr. Vaibhav jainFather of a 5 yr 11 m old girl4 years agoA. it is common in this age . tight stool are scene frequently in infants and toddlers . Medicine like gylcerine suppository or any laxative should be avoided at this age . Water and fibres should be increased in kid's daily routine . In exclusive breast fed baby mother can increase her water intake it will also help in baby's hard stool .
