Hello ,my baby is 9 months old developed fever 4 days back sudden onset ,continuous relieves on giving pct drops,consulted pediatrician and gave blood tests..crp is 11 and esr 62 odr tests negative..started cefixime yesterday...baby has developed rashes now..should I continue or stop antibiotic..he has mild diarrhea also...

ExpertDr Disha PatelAyurvedic Physician4 years agoA. hello. their is some infection.. loose motion may be due to cefixime, if it increases do consult with ur paedritician. keep ur child well hydrated. rashes will disappear itself in some days.

I Think the antibiotics you’re using is not suiting the child so you consult your doctor and ask them to change the antibiotics that are given to the child to excessive heat in the body as it is with the antibiotics you are giving so please consult your doctor once again
