Q.
Hello, my baby is 25 days old and since day 1 she gets lot of gas. whenever we try for burp after feeds, she hardly burps and sleeps on feed only. she is breastfed. very frequently she gets gas and though i try for cycling and tummy massage she does pass some air and poop but she cries too. we give her colicaid if she vomits feed due to gas or cries a lot. is it safe to give her colicaid 3-4 times a wk?

Gas related problem is very common in small babies because of many factor including immaturity of the gut . other facttors include cow's milk introduction before 1 year of age , bottle feeding, not giving proper burping after each feed. Digestive enzymes like aglozyme drops can be given as suggested by doctor in proper dose for reliving of such symptoms .
