Hello, My 2 baby boy is 50 days old... He is passing green colour motions past 1 week... Can i consult a doctor or its normal in this age... Thanks

ExpertDr. Swapnil SaxenaAyurvedic Physician3 years agoA. its ok ma'am, 👍 Don't worry about green stools because it is very commonly seen if your baby is having mild cold and cough or drinks formula milk.& Moreover the consistency and the frequency of stool matters more than the colour.

Green poop may indicate a foremilk/hindmilk imbalance in breastfed babies, which results in your baby is getting a larger portion of foremilk (watery milk) than hindmilk (thicker, fattier milk). Though this can cause tummy discomfort, it doesn't indicate a milk supply issue or problem with your milk.
