Q.

Hello, My 10.5 months old has stomach infection and has fever because of it his fever is down during day but not on night what should I do I am giving him prescribed medicines also still fever is 101.5’F during night. Btw he is playful also but not sleeping well

A. hi, after giving paracetamol if fever is not going down, Give tepid sponging to bring down the temperature if fever ..Always use room temperature water/tap water..not cool, because shivering can actually raise your baby's temperature rather than help bring it down. The child should also be encouraged to drink fluids to replace those lost through sweating.
