Q.

Hello mons! My friend has a 3 month old baby, she had to join office now, so she started giving formula milk to her child which was suggested by her doctor, but since she started giving formula milk, her child started having gas problem. And he has started crying a lot. He is facing a lot of trouble with his in-laws. There is no benefit even after trying home remedies, so tell me from your experience, is there any other formula milk that you have tried?

A. Hii, when My baby was 2 months old, We fed him both breast milk and formula, but he would cry a lot even after feeding. We thought he was still hungry, so my MIL suggested giving him more feed but when we consulted the doctor, and learned he had colic. To help with this, we started giving him more tummy time and made sure he burped after each feeding. The doctor recommended Aptamil Gold stage 1, which is similar to breast milk as it contains natural nutrients found in breast milk. Since your baby is 3 months old, you can consider Aptamil Gold stage 1, which would help with better digestion and contains Prebiotic HMOs. It's always a good idea to consult with your doctor about it.

A. Hello, as the baby is just 3 months old, I would not suggest anything which should be given oral. She can ask the pediatrician and give meds for colic. Also leg cycling, giving some tummy time will help. Tell her to ask the pead if she can give Aptamil Gold stage 1 to the baby. It has prebiotics and HMOs and is closest to breast milk as HMO is the third largest component in breast milk. Prebiotics helps in growth of good bacteria in gut which helps in dealing with any issues related to tummy like colic, constipation and diarrhea. So, it will help.

A. Bonnisan maximum five drops can be given in the situation as this is completely normal for a child to have stomach pain with any feeding it is not associated with formula feeding only secondly they can add some fennel seeds into the water when they’re making boiling water for making formula that is also going to help in avoiding these issues it’s a completely safe and best home remedy that your friend can go for
