A. Fever is a reaction of the body to different pyrogens released during any Infection. Usually temp more than 99 F is taken as fever . Mostly in children fever is because of viral infections like flu or RSV where the fever is there for 4-5 days but may persist even upto 2 weeks . Initially antipyretic like paracetamol is given in a dose of 15 mg / kg/ dose. grCan be repeated after 4-6 hrs if needed . Lukewarm sponge bath can be given as home remedy to decrease fever. Adequate fluid intake is also beneficial. Urine output monitoring is necessary to avoid dehydration .

A. Common Indian home remedies to reduce fever in kids include: 1. **Tulsi (Holy Basil) Tea:** Make a tea with fresh tulsi leaves, ginger, and honey. It can help alleviate symptoms and boost the immune system. 2. **Turmeric Milk (Haldi Doodh):** Mix a pinch of turmeric powder in warm milk. Turmeric has anti-inflammatory properties that may help reduce fever. 3. **Ginger and Honey:** A mixture of ginger juice and honey can be soothing and may help lower fever. 4. **Cumin (Jeera) Water:** Boil cumin seeds in water, strain, and give the child a few teaspoons of the water. It may help in reducing fever. 5. **Fenugreek (Methi) Water:** Soak fenugreek seeds in water overnight and give the child a teaspoon of the soaked water in the morning. Always consult with a healthcare professional for persistent or severe fever in children. These remedies are not substitutes for medical advice and treatment.
