Fever is when the temperature of the body goes above 99 degree fahrenheit and the safest medicine in such situation is paracetamol which can be repeated after 6 hours again if required in a proper dose . Alternative medicine can alskio be tried if required like ibuprofen and mefenamic acid preparations.
cold sponging of the whole body with tap water can be beneficial too to bring the temperature down .

If baby is temperature is more than 99° then you can give Calpol drops to your baby and you and you can repeat the medicine in every five hours gap if baby doesn’t get relief. And in next 24 hours it baby doesn’t get relieved and consult with your doctor about it
