#AskTheExpert hello man, next month my daughter will get her ears pierced. which is best and safest: Diamond or gold earrings ? is it OK to take earrings with Lil pendant(drop)? I'm Lil bit confused and worried as some people are saying that diamond will be too heavy and painful for baby ! please help thank you

ExpertDr.Rasika ThosarPaediatric Intensivist7 years agoA. its variable about the Time of ear piercing. better to do it after tetanus dose at 6 weeks. also proper hygiene, sterile technique is a must. its difficult to get it done as child gets older. No need to apply anything as a medication. simple gold ones are fine
