if the consistency is hard and the child is having pain while passing stool it is considered as constipation.
give plenty of water and fibre diet to the child
it is important to give fibre diet from cereals pulses vegetables and fruits
avoid giving more than 400 ml milk everyday and avoid giving packet and processed foods as well as biscuits and refined food
adding papaya , fennelc seeds water , oats pear prunes pineapple banana kishmish to the regular diet will help in decreasing constipation.

Banana,mango,orange,grapes,papaya,pear,pine apple,prune,figs ,carrot,tomato,cucumber,bottle gourd,curd,ragi jowar in regular diet increase bowel movement and avoid constipation.
For instant relief - Do tummy massage with warm coconut oil or castor oil gently massage for 5-10 minutes in clockwise direction .
