Shaista TarannumMom of a 16 yr 5 m old boy4 years agoA. if you are breastfeeding then you must feed atleast once every 2 hours. for about 10 min from each breast you should feed.
if you are giving formula milk then the quantity depends on baby's weight. baby should be given 150-200ml of formula feed for every kg of baby weight. for example if baby is 3 kgs then give 450-600 ml in 24 hrs. that is the thumb rule.dividethis through the day.
But since all babies are different then the quantity may vary a bit also. Please refer to the instructions on the box also once where the quantity will be given as per baby's weight or age.
One note about formula feeding: It's easier to overfeed when using formula because it takes less effort to drink from a bottle than from a breast.so please make sure you keep an on the quantity.
