Hello! I have 8 days old baby girl. I want to ask one question that she is sleeping continuously. continuously in a sense sleeping by whole day. So can u suggest me is it any problem in this or she is a baby that's why she sleeping for long time?

Dr. Vaibhav jainFather of a 5 yr 9 m old girl4 years agoA. hello initial days baby sleep more mostly 18 to 20 hours therefore no need to worry about that this is normal for baby baby sleep more during initial 1 to 2 months

They need about 14 to 16 hours of sleep.
So. if she's playing actively , sleeping well and taking feeding properly there is not much reason of concern
take sunbath daily with her head and ears covered.
