Hello... I am a mom of 2 yr old kid... I I have planned to stop breastfeeding...Any medication required to stop the milk secretion....please suggest me an idea.. Thanks in advance☺☺

sheetal panditaMom of a 4 yr 5 m old boy2 years agoA. if u want to start weaning then give it some time.. instant stoppage won't help..ur baby need time to left this habit so u have to take time slowly..take 2-3 more months so that baby will leave it eventually.. at first start avoiding giving morning breastfeeding for 1 -2 weeks and continue at other times..then after that start avoiding day time breastfeed for 3-4 weeks similarly u can avoid evening also... continue with night tym upto 3 months then ur baby will automatically forget about it.. for this u can take help from another family member so that they will keep ur baby busy or make him sleep when ur baby crave for milk... gradually ur breast milk will automatically get less and stop by its own.. i don't think any medication for this is good..bcz u should not stop milk instantly it can cause trouble after sometime.. it's important to secret internal milk so that they should not form any lumps inside..for better guidance ur doctor can help u ..

Its always better to take the guidance by the concerned person with the geniune advice ...

NikithaMom of 2 children2 years agoA. hello keeping cabbage leaves over the breast helps and any concern then it si better to check with your doctor and your doctor will be able to guide you better on examination of the same and advise you accordingly which is better too and alsos afe too
