Q.

hello everyone.. my son is 14 months old.. last month he was suffering from loose motions his pediatrician adviced to feed him lo lac formula milk..i was feeding him lo lac until now..now he absolutely fine should I continue with lo lac Or should I replace with another one?? can lo lac be given if he has no stomach related issues?

A. Loose motion most of the time is because of some infection which could be viral or bacterial and in such case it is associated with symptoms like fever along with vomiting and loss of appetite . supportive treatment is very necessary where proper hydration should be maintained by giving ORS along with that probiotic can be given like enterogermina or econorm in a proper dobcse . Antibiotics has their role only if it is bacterial infection . for this doctor guidance is necessary .
