Hello Everyone.. my 7 years old son is having fever along with cough. today is 4rth day still fever repeats after 6-7 hours of Dolo 250 ( 5 ml ). He is active enough as well as eating average not as normal but he is having food. Is there anything I should worry about or fever will go on its own.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type oyf cough.j
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .
