Q.

Hello everyone..is it ok to use hand sanitizer sterilium in regular basis for my 2 month old daughter..actually she was low birth weight and so I really have to take care that she does not catch any infection..but can I use sterilium to sanitise my hands on daily basis?

A. Yes you can use no issues. Or rise just wash your hands with soap before handling the baby and keep feeding your baby well as it helps in building her immunity. Keep surroundings and toys if the baby clean.

A. Always use of sterillium is not recommended since it organisms get easily resistance. Soap surfectant is enough well. You can use sterillium when you are out of home in travel etc. Diversity of organisms are more. Dr Akhilesh Microbiologist

A. too much using of sanitizer at its small age is not advisable at all it can affect the skin of the child so rather than using sanitizer every time better you should make the hands clean by using wipes on wet napkin or plain water
