Hello everyone. I am struggling with giving training to my baby girl for clean her teeth with toothbrush and tooth paste. She is 19 months old . Can someone guide me how I can encourager to do that.

ExpertNiharika PandeyPediatric Dentist4 years agoA. Hi small kids can't brush their teeth by themselves..you have to assist them upto the age of 3-4 years.. use small head soft bristles toothbrush along with rice grain size amount of flavoured age appropriate kids toothpaste

mouli misraMom of a 6 yr old girl4 years agoA. while you brush your teeth allow the baby to hold your brush with you and guide. This will make the baby understand the brushing techniques. Mine is 21 months old she loves doing this and now she is having fun with her brush too..

Brush with her either any of the parents, cousins or siblings.. at this age mostly they imitate others so this will help. Sing a song Brushing song before brushing and also in day time to encourage her. Buy her favourite character or cartoon or attractive colourful brush,with soft bristles Baby hug brush is available in reasonable price which is stickable to wall /table.
