Q.

Hello dr My daughter has s 4 nd half months old . She is on mixed feeding,daytime expressed breastmilk nd in night 1-2 formula feed. In day time she is demanding feed in every 2-21/2 hours nd quantity 100 ml.. how should I increase gap between the feed nd also the quantity of milk .. she is not able to take more than 100-110ml even though I feed after 3 hrs. Her sleep is also affected .. previously in afternoon she used to sleep 3-4 hrs .. now hardly 2 hours thn she is awake for 2-21/2 hrs nd take naps of 45 min Plz suggest how should I increase quantity of milk nd interval between feed nd make her sleep properly

A. Feed around 90-120 ml. if s baby tummy is full then chekx if passing urine 7-8 times in 24 hours and if baby is looking content after every feed. And your breast may seem weightless after feed. If so baby is getting enough feed. Babies don't starve. They will sure cry if they are hungry. Just burp well after every feed. If baby is feeling content after feed then no isseus it means baby had fed well.
