hello dr. my baby is just one month, she is feverish with temperature of 99 or 99.5°, crying a sometime a lot, is these the viral fever or fever for bcg vaccine given after the birth.. please recomend on these

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy2 years agoA. the first medicine will always be paracetamol and it is given according to weight and power of paracetamol medicine you are having.
give liquids and easily digestible food and paracetamol should be given only after food.
keep the child in cool environment and avoid using woolen clothes when the child is having fever
armpit temperature of hundred or more is considered as fever
to body sponge to decrease the surface temperature and should be carried out for at least 20 minutes with normal tempedrature water.
higher medicines whether required or not will be told by the doctor.
