Q.

hello dr. my baby is 8 months old and doesn't sleep in a daytime at all...she keeps playing all the time and dashing her head everywhere..I m worried...what shoul I do to make her sleep..pls guide

A. this behaviour is normal at this age this is normal phenomenon and no treatment is required. but if you feel that something is different you can get it examined by the doctor. many times examination may be needed to give final diagnosis.

A. I know bt since she I very active I have to keep eye all the time and I don't have inlaws support my husband work out of India..I need to handle her alone sometimes it's difficult to go washroom also and then she keeps falling banging her head here and there..I am even worried abt her head banging again n again..don't want any risk

A. See if your child sleeps very well throughout the night for at least 8 to 10 hours at a stress then there is no problem with that because in a lot of cases when kids are awake during the daytime but they sleep well during the night time so that is completely alright

Q. #asktheexperts my baby doesnt sleep timely at night . mostly sge sleeps after 01.30am . Even though she's sleepy and rubs her eyes, how much ever i try to comfort her and put her to sleep, she doesnt . She sleeps effortlessly dyring daytime . She doesnt sleep in her cradle at night even though i touch her , i sit and sing lullaby for her but during daytime she sleeps in the same cradle without doing anything . I tried not to let her sleep more during daytime but she sleeps while playing during daytime even if we dont let her sleep . How to set her bedtime routine in such situations. Please help . I am a working mother ,currently working from home. No help from anyone . Single mother .
