hello dr, my baby is 40 days old and from last 3 days she hasn't pooped. she is taking breastfeed and once or twice we give top feed 30/60ml in a day. we are also giving colicad for gas issue. please suggest what we can do so that she can poop as she is trying but only fart is coming out not the poop.

only breastfeed and sometimes topfeed.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Constipation in Babies less than 1 year is very common and more in formula fed babies and also when initially the semi solid food has been started after 6 months .
you can give bonnisan drops and some enzyme preparations in proper dose suggested by doctor and cow's milk should be avoided before 1 year of age .hhy Medications are required but it should be given only in medical supervision .
