Q.

hello Dr. my baby is 14 weeks old. my dr. had given " OSTEOCARE" which is including with (calcium+ magnesium+ zinc+vitamin D3) at the birth time in Mumbai. i am leaving in Latur today for maternity leaves.but this syrup is not available in latur.chemist is suggested to me " calcimax-P" which is including with ( calcium+ phosphorus+ magnesium+zinc+vitD3) should i take calcimax-p which is including with phosphorus and composition is different

A. Just take plain vitamin d and give 0.5kl until 6 months and then increase the dose to 1ml after 6 months until one year of age. There is no need to give calcium for longer periods unless there’s actually acute deficiency
