Fever is a response of the body to any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body so you canx give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose as the cffirst line treatment also this dose can be again repeated after every 5 to 6 hours if again required and you can also do cold sponging of the body to reduce fever

Its Oh it’s an antibiotic I think that’s what your child has been taking your doctor must have advised to go for it maybe fever is on the higher side or there is some infection which is why the doctor must have advised you to go ahead with an antibiotic so that’s absolutely fine no issues
