A. It can definitely be a challenging behavior to address, but rest assured that there are steps we can take to try and redirect his focus. Firstly, it's important to note that thumb sucking is a natural self-soothing mechanism for babies and young children, so it's not uncommon for them to continue the habit even after they no longer need to feed from a bottle. However, if it's happening as frequently as you mentioned and interfering with his willingness to engage in other activities, it may be worth trying to discourage the behavior. One thing to consider is offering Jerry some alternative means of comfort when he's feeling fidgety or anxious. This could involve introducing a favorite blanket or stuffed animal that he can cuddle with, or encouraging him to participate in play activities that involve his hands (such as molding clay, drawing with markers, or building with blocks). Additionally, you could try to gently but firmly redirect his hand away from his mouth when you see him slipping into thumb sucking mode, and offer words of encouragement or distraction to help him break the habit.

A. hi yes kids do this out of stress or anxiety so please tackle your child calmly and tactfully please don't scold your child, don't punish him whenever he does this try to distract your child by giving toys or activities or give comfort object like muslin shawl, blanket or soft toy
