Q.

Hello doctors, Please help me. I want to know the best way to check whether my baby is getting sufficient Breassttmilk or not. I can hear swallowing sound while she feeds but sometimes I don't hear any sound. Whenever I press my nipples, milk comes out. But I have a doubt if baby is getting sufficient milk bz she cries even after feeding as if she is hungry. Is there any method which I can use at home to check if breastmilk is sufficient or not?

A. Hello mom one of the.Best way is keeping track on baby weight gain which is expected about 300 gm to 1 kg monthly and then by the age of 4 to 6 months they double it . Next is you can check if the baby is passing urine and stools well . Your breast gets light and empty after feed . Also massage your breast after every feed , make sure the baby is burped well

A. Hi vandana mam, Babys birth weight was 2.9 which then came to 3.2 in 45 days. The gain is low only I believe. Other than that baby is passing urine properly 7-8 times a day or more. Stool sometimes with a gap of 2-3 days.
