Q.

Hello Doctors, My child is 13months old now, a month back I have consulted a pediatrician who advised me to continue regular dosage of zincovit and vitamin D3 until 2years old, in-fact introduced 2 more vitamin as an additional supplement i.e. Scinovita DHA and Sofzid. Further to this, since yesterday night my kid is suffering with fever, today I have consulted with another pediatrician for this fever and he has given some medicine for this fever. While I have asked him about continuity of Zincovit, Vitamin D3, Sofzid and Scinovita DHA, he has strongly advised not to continue further these medicines. He clarified that such regular usage of these vitamins for a long time ( 2 years) will be prone to a serious bad habit and it will also make the body less compatible with the environment, so he advised to stop these medicines so that baby’s own immune system will respond actively and fix any such deficiencies in any of these vitamins. Please advise whether I should continue these vitamins till 2 years or for a specific time span or not?
