Q.

Hello doctors and mummy's My son is now 14th month old. Whenever he smiles soundly he gets hiccups with in fraction of seconds. When it happens first time when he was months baby i thought it will be resolved by age but no change. He plays n smiles lot in day n he suffers with hiccups. Is there anything to worry about? As a parents we couldn't able to enjoy his smile instead of that we r asking him to stop smiling. Even hiccups occuring every time when he smiles with 5 mins of gap.

A. it is quite possible that some babies will be getting hiccups after taking feeding sometimes after crying sometimes after laughing it is because of the irritation of the diaphragm and common in small babies
