hello doctor, pls guide me or let me know what is this Downsyndrom intermediate risk is it to worry?? pls revert me ASAP.

A. Ma'am, Going by experience I can say that, if the ultrasound has no problem and fts shows risk of down syndrome, doctor will suggest you NIPT(Non invasive prenatal test), if scan also has any suspected aspects, then you may have to undergo amniocentesis. Fetal medicine specialists have to guide you in this, and you may be suggested go for genetic counseling as well.

A. ok.. actually my doc is not available right now.. so pls tell should I need to worry about this ? is the risk is high?

A. down syndrome baby will be having less intelligence you can determine this by doing amniocentesis For further advice it is advisable to consult your local doctor for appropriate examination if there is need for investigations also then only proper treatment can be given to you o . K .
