Hello doctor My son newly born on 5 Dec 2025 and his tsh level on 2 nd day blood test was 25 and t4 is Normal Doctor suggested to repeat again so after 10 days tsh is 17 and again t4 is normal They suggested retesting again and tsh is 18.2 and t4 is normal So retesting is advised on 9 January is check levels So I am worried regarding my baby tsh level

A. Maam see I’ll be very honest with you in initial times the thyroid levels can really be upside down for a child but usually within six months they settle on their own only after six months when you Conductor test you will see most of the things would be normal as it is but as of now just go ahead with what your doctors advising because they may be suggesting you retesting due to a particular reason
