Give him a bowl and a spoon to eat so that he can eat on his own. He might make a mess and also play with the food. Let him do that. This is how he will learn to eat independently while touching, playing and finally tasting the food. Offer colourful foods in colourful bowls or on colourful plates. Cut foods into different shapes using food cutters to attract the attention of your son. Let him be a part of meal preparations like setting up the table before mealtime or help you in choosing the vegetable to be cooked. Give him options but let him choose. Always give limited and healthy options. For example : do you want a paneer parantha or a beetroot parantha? Praise him even if he manages to finish only a small part of his meal. Offer foods in different textures and see what texture your son finds tasty?
