Q.

Hello Doctor, my son is down with cold from past past 5 weeks. problem is his chest is conjested with cough. what should i do to relieve him from cough?

A. give steam to baby at home. Cough and cold may be due to any seasonal change and due to any viral infection . Ste can be given at home and if cough is much then asthakind can also be given to baby 3 times in a day and paracetamol for the fever .

A. is it safe to give steam through humidifier/steamer. when my son was 5 months old his then pediatric said steam can be dangerous as the child won't say where it hit him with hot steam.?

A. Hi dear mom Give steam inhalation to ur baby 2-3 times in a day to help liquify mucus and clear the chest congestion and apply baby rub on the chest and feet of the baby. Take care
